Think I can sue Nintendo if my arms fall off? Wii boxing was two days ago, body. What happened to forgive and forget?
So, this conversation happened. Condensed for your convenience.
Me: do i need the narnia movies? i don't know if i do.
Me: i may acquire prince caspian for ben barnes.
Friend: reason enough
Me: i found someone today who was like ...is it just me, or was there some sexual tension between peter and caspian? i was relieved because i thought it was just me.
Friend: they so wanted to bone
Me: gay subtext is my favorite subtext.
Friend: and i wanted to watch
Me: i thought that was implied.
Friend: well yeah
Me: you were just stating it to make sure?
Friend: yeah. i mean its great if they are fucking but it does me no good unless i can see
Me: i'm tempted to see if anyone has written this. i suspect that it has, but probably by no one good.
Friend: ....it's out there. and it's okay. cept it took a weird turn that involved the actor who played ed
Friend: although....there is potential for hotness there
My favorite parts about this are, in no particular order, that he has actually gone looking for fic that I haven't, can assure me that it's there and that it's okay, and wasn't weirded out by the RPF he found. Dudes, I think I could tell him about bandom if he wouldn't make fun of me forever.
Friend: invariably more into fandom than I give him credit for.
I managed to acquire (read: so much piracy I should get a complimentary eye patch) A Knight's Tale, too. It's been aaaaaages since I've seen it, and I'd forgotten how much fun it is.
catwalksalone. OMG, cat. I think I'm in love with Chaucer. Or Paul Bettany. Probably both. My point is ♥__♥
The urge to break out the due South dvds has been mighty the past couple of days. I do not understand this. Generally, when I drop from a fandom, I drop with the permanence of a watermelon out a window. But lately, there is a tiny person in my brain who keeps pawing at me and wailing, "But. Raaaaay." IDK, guys. Like, 80% of the awesome things I have in my life happened because of due South. I'm unreasonably reluctant to go back to it and taint the memories or whatever.

Date: 2009-01-04 01:52 pm (UTC)Awwww, little Kowalski. He does not deserve to be abandoned forever. You know it's his greatest fear. *guilts you*
I did not like Prince Caspian. It was not a patch on the first one. Also? Ben Barnes actually says that he copied his 'Spanish' accent from Inigo Montoya, wtf? He does realise that Mandy Battleship Potemkin is not Spanish, right? IDK. Some people liked it. I'm sticking with The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrob because a) JAMES MCAVOY and b) it was really good.

Date: 2009-01-04 02:10 pm (UTC)Noooo, not the guilt. *sigh* I'm going to crack eventually, aren't I? And it's going to be sooner rather than later. Damn you, due South.
Oh, Ben Barnes, NO. There is no world in which that is okay. I own up to watching that film nearly entirely for the pretty. My shallow is so all-encompassing that it's very nearly deep. But really, he doesn't have anything on JAMES MCAVOY. I should not have been so in love with a man who is half goat. I feel that it was entirely inappropriate. I also do not care.

Hee.
Also you should watch Shameless with me someday, he is 1. hot and 2. adorable and 3. awesome in it. And he has romance and no goat-related body parts, yay!
Also I am very glad that you too embrace the Bettany as our snarky hot overload. OMG.

Date: 2009-01-04 03:28 pm (UTC)Dude, Paul Bettany. I vaguely recalled that he was hot? But in no way did I remember THAT. He can lord over me any time he wants.

Date: 2009-01-04 07:30 pm (UTC)Guh, Paul Bettany. I have plans for watching Master and Commander later today. Several people have assured me that there is sex via stringed instruments.
